Introducing Lew @ Vanthology

Hi there! I’m Lewis, and I’m the co-creator of Vanthology. Like more and more of us, I found myself dreaming of freedom, fresh air, and the kind of life where the view from my window changes as often as I like. That dream led me to convert my own campervan — a Peugeot Boxer — from the bare bones up, into a home on wheels that suits me, my lifestyle, and my curiosity for the outdoors.

Then & Now

THE GREEN GOBLIN

My first campervan, named the Green Goblin for obvious reasons, was a 20 year old rust bucket of a van but nonetheless it gave me some of the most unforgettable adventures of my life. From the jaw-dropping scenery of the NC500 to the wild beauty of the Welsh coast, it carried me through sunsets, storms, and everything in between. For every mile of freedom and adventure, there was a battle with rust, breakdowns, and mechanical chaos—turning every trip into both a journey and a lesson in resilience.

THE VAN WITH NO NAME

My new campervan is a blank canvas, yet to be named but already full of promise. Built from the ground up—80% by my own hands, 20% by people who actually have a clue—it’s been a labour of love, learning, and late nights. Unlike the Green Goblin, this van starts with a clean slate and big ambitions. It's more than just a project; it's the beginning of a new chapter filled with fresh adventures, unknown roads, and the freedom to explore with something truly my own.

Vanthology?

We’ve created Vanthology not just to document our own travels, but to build a resource and community for fellow campervan enthusiasts, weekend warriors, and anyone flirting with the idea of van life.

Here’s what you can expect:

● First-hand stories from the road — the highs, the lows, and the laugh-out-loud moments
● Product reviews & recommendations — gear that actually works for life in a van
● DIY tips and guides for converting or upgrading your own setup
● Hidden gem locations, campsite reviews, and off-grid ideas

We would love for this blog to be a community, not just a monologue—so don’t be shy! Leave a comment, share your stories, or drop me a line.
Here’s to the road ahead 🌄
